On National Youth Day, marking Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, interacting with thousands of youth and global diaspora to promote youth-led nation-building.
National Youth Day and Prime Minister’s Engagement:
- National Youth Dayis observed annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a symbol of youth empowerment and national awakening.
- On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modiwill participate in the concluding session of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 in New Delhi.
- The Prime Minister will interact with nearly 3,000 young participantsfrom across India, along with representatives of the international Indian diaspora.
- Selected youth leaders will present their ideas to the Prime Minister across ten thematic tracks, reflecting grassroots perspectiveson national challenges.

- During the event, the Prime Minister will release the Essay Compilation for Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, featuring selected writings by young participants.
- The initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s Independence Day callto involve one lakh youth in politics without political affiliations.
- The 2026 edition, held from 9th to 12th January, has seen participation from over 50 lakh youth nationwideat various levels.
- New additions include Design for Bharat, Tech for Viksit Bharat – Hack for a Social Cause, expanded thematic engagement, and international participationfor the first time.
