● Commemorative Event: Parakram Diwas-2026 is being organised to mark the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

● National Observance: The celebrations are being held in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at 13 other locations linked to Netaji’s life, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and coastal regulation zones in these areas.

● Cultural Tribute: The programme highlights Netaji’s legacy of courage, sacrifice and patriotism through nationwide commemorative activities, emphasizing the need for environmental clearances and sustainable development.

● Cultural Programmes: The celebrations include cultural performances, exhibitions and theatrical presentations showcasing the life and ideals of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, while also raising awareness about environmental impact assessments.

● Theatre Showcase: A special theatrical performance by the National School of Drama forms a major highlight of the commemorative events, potentially incorporating themes of environmental jurisprudence.
